Special Announcement
Thats right folks! We are attempting a Guinness Book World Record for Most Vocal Solos in a Song on June 21, 2018.

Musical Intervention, in partnership with Make Music New Haven, Arts Council of Greater New Haven, International Make Music Day and The New Haven Parking Authority will host an attempt to break a record for most vocal solos in a song.

Musical Intervention is inviting between 400 and 500 people to have their voices recorded singing a small section of "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers.

The current world record is 365 voices in one song. We will attempt to beat this record on top of the Temple Street Garage.

Registration starts at 4pm on the 9th floor of the Temple Street Garage. The World Record Attempt will start at 6pm and last for about an hour. All participants are asked to remain on the 10th floor during the attempt.

After the record attempt we will celebrate with live music and games.

This event is a family friendly drug and alcohol free event.

International Make Music Day

What is Make Music Day?

Make Music Day (or just “Make Music”) is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st, the summer solstice.

Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is a open to anyone who wants to take part. Thousands of amateur musicians play in public spaces, often for their first time. Professional musicians perform for new audiences, who come out from under their headphones to hear unfamiliar groups risk-free. And everyone is invited to sing along and enjoy the first day of summer.

Today, Make Music is observed on the same day in more than 800 cities around the world. It is the world’s largest annual music event.
